Julie Banning PT,DPT, PRC
Julie graduated from Concordia University, Seward, NE with a BA in Biology and a BS in Secondary Education. A brief interlude in teaching led her back to pursue her original passion, to treat people in medicine. This background combined with a love of physical therapy drives her desire to help her patients understand the why and how in their physical therapy journey.
After graduating from Rosalind Franklin School of Medicine and Science in 2007, with her doctorate of physical therapy, Julie has continued to expand and develop her skills. She has a strong background treating a wide spectrum of orthopedic injuries across the lifespan. She received her Postural Restoration Certification in 2012. She has diverse skills including visceral mobilization, dry needling and functional tri-planar assessment. Clinically Julie places a strong emphasis on biomechanics of the body and loves to celebrate the ‘wins’ toward physical therapy goals. She considers herself a movement specialist and loves to identify the elements that may be restricting movement patterns.
In her free time, Julie enjoys reading, exploring new ideas and traveling near and far. Julie grew up in Wyoming but now calls Nebraska her home. Any opportunity to spend time outdoors hiking, cycling or walking is a highlight of the day. Spending time with extended family continues to be a priority as well.
